Biography:
Johanna has lived with her little brother, and her Grandmother in their little thatched cottage in Ireland, for almost all of her life. Her parents were married in that cottage, and later Johanna was born there. All was right in the world, Johanna grew up with all the privileges nature could offer. Fishing, making her own clothes, trouping through mud or spending long lazy days on the shore, dreaming out into the ocean, visiting fantasy worlds.... That was until exactly 7 years ago, when Johanna was 17, that her mother gave birth to the little hellion Zane.
Jo had hated that little fussing and crying babe. And hated it even more when an illness caused by the birth made her mother ill. They had almost lost the dear woman, had not her father contacted a Doctor on New York City, she would be dead.
So Johanna was left with the baby, forced to live the life of a young, and single mother, while her father took what money they had, and sailed off to America, promising either to return soon, or send for them
That was seven years ago. Johannah had the help of her grandmother to raise Zane, but between taking care of him, and with her grandmother aptly turning away every suitor that came to call, Jo' has not really had time or the liberty to meet and socialize with men. They are a mystery to her, a puzzle to be figured out.
It seems her entire life has built up to this moment, receiving the letter from her parents, two tickets on Titanic! To America! The world seems to breath with freedom. So taking charge of her little brother, Johanna for the first time in all her 24 years is leaving the safety of her homeland, venturing...into the unknown. But it can't be too bad...Her parents made it didn't they?
